I have many fond memories of La Sierra Ward. I was married in the new Chapel and we have had my parents funerals in that Chapel. My family (Fred and Florence Stout) moved to Carmichael in 1961. One main reason we chose Birch Street was it was around the corner from the old building on Garfield and the family could walk to church. When the new building was built and wards were changed we were able to get to know many new friends. My parents loved La Sierra Ward and everyone in it. I still have many dear friends and appreciate all they do for my sister Carolyn Stout who still resides in the ward. I moved to the Bay Area, Walnut Creek 26 years ago and am in the Lafayette Ward.

I joined the church April 6, 1973 when I was seventeen and La Sierra was my Ward although I spent a lot of my time with friends in Whitney Ward. Got married in 1979 to Annette Graham (daughter of Maurice and Phoebe Graham) and we have six children and seven grandchildren. Hard to believe but true. Our oldest just turned 30! I have many fond memories of the Ward and the families I remember from that time. We now live in Tulsa, OK and would love to attend the reunion but our youngest son is getting married to a girl from Idaho on the 27th. I cannot wait to see the reunion photos.

Our time in La Sierra ward holds many fond memories for our entire family. As some of our children reminisced, about their years growing up in La Sierra Ward,we had some good laughs and some sweet thoughts of precious people and good times. We are looking forward to seeing our friends again. Stephanie and Dennis Kyler
